The Sanders 10'es are probably one of the best speakers of all time. I have always loved electrostatics and planar and ribbon speakers. I have loved Quads, Apogees and Magnenpans . and other ESL's. but the 10e's are a step up.
The quads are beautiful speakers and I love them but the 10e's hybrid design makes up for their bass deficiencies, I also love the Maggies - planar magnetics. The newer Maggies use ribbon tweeters but in my opinion not up to a true electrostatic
I have the luxury of a number of high end systems.. I have home theatre system of Maggie 3.7s .with centre channels coupled to a subwoofer and it is great . I have a home theatre system with Paradigm speakers and subwoofer - great moving watching,
I have soundlab ESL system - fantastic sound but limited extension. If I had to pick one it would be the Sanders.

They are beautiful, my wife has happily accepted them. But, what a revolution in listening experience!! The ESL sound was pure jaw-dropping!! To think I have been missing this level of detail and transparency for forty years I have been buying records!
. . .
My word, Roger, I can't tell you the pure joy of "practically seeing" Stevie Ray Vaughn's fingers move along the fretboard - it was that palpable on your demo disk. I played Connected - an album of Danny Thompson (the big bass player) and it sounded amazing. I haven't had a chance to listen to old familiar tracks to see the difference, but I will by and by.
I used an independent ear too - made my wife sit in the listening chair and listen - and she went

I am 53 years old, started with Magnepans when I was 17 years old and replaced these later by different types of electrostatics, all from Audiostatic (Dutch).
When Ray Rears delivered these at my place, I did the installation myself but it appeared that the Mark Levinson 432 was not capable of running these speakers. In fact, this strong amp was destroyed two times, with 900 euro each time, both times immediately after switching on without any music or volume. An open conversation by phonecall and some emails from Mark Levinson learned me that this amp was no match for your speakers. I really needed the ESL's.
Ray Sears actually was the one who made me happy, he was a very important part in this, and since a year now I am surprised every day. I like details and with your electrostatics I get lots of it.
This message is just to thank you, as it is not always easy making a major improvement in this hobby that also will work. A wrong choice is easy to make, as we talk about taste. The fact that Ray is located in my country made the difference.
So Mr Sanders, I am very, very happy with your components, which gave me more than my expectations.
Thanks from Cees in the Nederlands.
